About the Owners

Owners Bentley and Sharon Wolf married on December 3, 1982. He was born and raised in Littlestown, PA, a second generation restaurateur. Ben started folding cardboard donut boxes when he was 5 years old! Sharon grew up in Westminster, MD and worked in the restaurant industry since age 14. The Wolfs, their three children, along with an army of other relatives, friends and employees successfully started and operated the former Bentley's Family Restaurant for 6 years.

Ben & Sharon's daughter, Melissa is the wife of Andrew Breighner, and the Events Coordinator who handles all the Wedding and banquet details. Their daughter, Stephanie Cashman teaches at Maple Avenue Middle School yet still does the scheduling, bartends and serves as needed, usually Thursday nights. Her husband, Matt is the general manager and the bar manager and their son, the Wolf's first grandchild, Garrison, is the Barn's regular French fry taste tester! Their son Brandon Bollinger is a foreman for CJ Miller and can be found at the Barn taking care of the expansive grounds or checking the Bentley's seafood quality! Many other family members serve in various capacities. Truly it is a den of friendly wolves!

Our children

Having successfully raised three children and still in love, Ben & Sharon are now "raising" a 22,000 square foot toddler. They purchased Patty & John's Restaurant in November 2006 and since converted it into two separate restaurants and five banquet rooms varying in size from ten to two hundred fifty people. Here at the Barn, Sharon's famous homemade soups and Bentley's legendary Broasted chicken can be enjoyed. The most popular entree currently is the huge, jumbo lump crab cake... no fillers allowed!

The Wolfs can be found virtually anywhere; the kitchen cooking, greeting & seating guests either upstairs or downstairs and answering phones as typical of their "hands on" style. Their joint love of food, family and friends is evident here in Bentley's at the Barn. When you eat here either in Family Style Dining upstairs, Sunday for the brunch buffet or downstairs in the Wolf's Den Pub, the Wolfs will likely stop by your table and say, "Hi!" because they sincerely are glad to see you at the Barn!
